Whether you love to travel, want to expand your horizons, or take a Google Earth tour of the globe, you’ve touched your Nomadic State of Mind…Now take a look inside our world.

Nomadic State of Mind is a handmade sandal company founded by Chris Anderson that began in the late 90s. The brand’s early years began in a 1969 VW bus, which also served as Chris’ summer home. Although many years have passed, the philosophy has remained the same – if you do it right the first time, it will last a long time.

Many of our sandals are now made on a small, unoccupied coffee farm in Nicaragua. In early 2002, Chris trained a small community to make sandals, creating jobs for people and also enjoying the process! All the craftsmen are well paid and we hope to grow the sandal business, offering work to more people. The process of making our sandals takes a lot of time, and after a long training, our craftsmen hand-craft each sandal to perfection! We have been working with the same team since 2002 and have seen economic improvements in the community. Over the years, the company has seen significant improvements that directly affect the lives of those we work with. For 6-8 years, Chris did not receive a salary and slept on boxes of sandals in the back of a van. As Chris says, “I am grateful to every friend who helped me through that difficult time.” Every penny has gone back into the company and gone to pay the craftsmen.

Let's talk about the sole

The classic sole – is what has made nomads a favorite of people around the world. They give a sense of true lightness and freedom, as if you were walking barefoot!

Rubber sole – suitable for those who are used to ordinary shoes. The advantage of the rubber sole is that the shoes will last longer. When walking, the sole cushions and provides comfort throughout the day, which prevents the feet from getting tired.

If necessary, you can always contact us for the service of an additional rubber sole (this service is available only in Ukraine), which costs 1000 hryvnias. The main thing is to wash the steam in a washing bag in a delicate mode and dry the nomadics very well in the sun before the procedure.

Let's talk about care

It all starts with us. Just as you take care of yourself, shoes need careful treatment.

Nomads should be washed in a bag in the washing machine; Delicate mode, 30 degrees, spin can be 1000 revolutions to dry faster;
It is necessary to thoroughly dry the Nomadic State of Mind steam on both sides in the sun or near the battery to avoid unpleasant odors (which may occur if you leave wet shoes in a cold or dark place)
Don’t worry about extra threads that may be after washing.They can easily be removed with a lighter;
If you are caught in a downpour, immediately put the sandals in the washing machine;
